Finding songs that mean something to the people you care for and bringing these into your everyday work can help reduce agitation and anxiety, and even cut down on unnecessary prescribing. We visited Sefton Palm House in Liverpool, where Dean, plus nursing students Ava and Amy, were spreading the word about  – an organisation set up to help people make the most of music in dementia care. They showed us just how effective music can be in nursing.
