Do you need to speak to the membership department?

The membership department can help with all your membership needs including joining or leaving the RCN, changing your personal or employment details, joining a forum and getting confirmation of membership.

If you need to make changes your personal or employment details, change mailing preferences, join a forum or download a letter confirming your membership, you can do this by logging in to MyRCN.

If you can't remember your membership number, log in using the email address we have on record for you.

Do you need to ask us about the RCN indemnity scheme?

The RCN indemnity scheme may cover you against the financial consequences of a claim against you for clinical negligence. 

Generally, the RCN scheme could cover the following groups of members:

  • the self-employed
  • members who don’t work under a contract of employment (such as agency or bank workers)
  • volunteers, and
  • those acting in a Good Samaritan capacity.

However, it's very important that you check the terms and conditions as outlined in our comprehensive terms and conditions document. 

There’s no need to pay anything extra. RCN indemnity is included in your membership fee, provided you meet the eligibility criteria.

If you need to download a letter confirming your membership, you can do this by logging in to MyRCN. If you can't remember your membership number, log in using the email address we have on record for you.
