Our legal helpline service operates Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Where a member requests the service, the helpline team will endeavour to contact you no later than the next working day.

Please note that the helpline is not intended to replace the services of a solicitor, but rather to assist you to identify the legal issues at hand, consider your legal rights and what courses of action are available to you and whether you need to consult a solicitor. The helpline can provide general advice only and cannot assist with complex legal matters which may require the review of documentation or specific legislation. General advice may be limited to signposting and referring the member to other appropriate agencies, or recommending a specialist solicitor for further assistance.

The legal helpline service is restricted to a maximum of 30 minutes advice.

In England, Northern Ireland and Wales, our legal helpline service is operated by award winning, national law firm, Stephensons Solicitors LLP. In Scotland the service is provided by Anderson Strathern (please note: the service is not available in the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands).
