Jade talks about turning her negative experiences in to positive actionÂ
Especially for Neurodiversity Celebration Week, Jade Wareham met RCN Disability Officer Holly Chadd to talk about neurodiversity in healthcare.
Jade is a final year adult nurse student on an apprenticeship programme. Six months in to her studies, Jade was formally diagnosed as dyslexic and although this wasn't a surprise to her, it had a real impact.
Jade had experienced discrimination in her work in the healthcare sector. Her diagnosis was a catalyst for turning her poor experiences in to a positive. SSHINE was born! Find out more about SSHINE at .
You can join the RCN peer support network like Jade. This is a network for any RCN member with lived experience of disability and those who are neurodivergent, at any stage of their career.
