Woman Rebel: The Margaret Sanger Story

Peter Bagge

Woman Rebel

Daniel Simkin, Information Resources Co-ordinator

Reason you chose this book

I had never heard of Margaret Sanger before reading this book and was amazed at how influential a figure she was in health and social reform.

Review

Peter Bagge’s graphic novel really brings to life the character of Margaret Sanger and focuses as much on her flaws and idiosyncrasies as it does the pioneering work that she did in improving opportunities for women. The book covers her life from childhood through her campaigns for reproductive rights and sexual health.
