Reason you chose this book

This very sad, thought provoking, inspiring true story captivated me and if I had had the opportunity to read it earlier in my career it would have provided me with a better insight and understanding of patients who have this diagnosis and that of their families and friends.

Review

A 50 year old professional lady with a family who finds herself suffering from early onset Alzheimer’s. It brings to mind how anyone of can be faced with a sudden change to one’s own or another’s health and wellbeing. We are aiming to be in a dementia friendly society, balanced  and enhanced through our nursing vision. Alice shows how she is ‘compassionate in caring’ for others by setting up her own support group for people suffering from the same condition even though she was aware of the impact her disease was having on her and her family.
