Nursing support workersÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥™ day is an important date in my calendar every year.

Nursing Support Workers' Day logo
Across Scotland, with the support of your local RCN branches, we’re hosting a number of celebration events, and I hope many of your will be able to pop along for a slice of cake and to show your support. Don’t forget to take pictures and tag us on socials using #NursingSupportWorkersDay.

For me, today is not only an opportunity to thank nursing support workers (NSWs), but also an opportunity for the RCN to highlight to our existing and potential NSW members some of the wonderful resources and benefits available to them all year round.

Our We Care campaign shines a light on the exceptional contribution NSWs make and is designed to show how committed RCN Scotland is to demonstrating that value and ensuring the equity of support with their registered nurse colleagues.

This NSW day, we are launching a series of bite-sized videos looking at reflective practice and the importance of incorporating it into everyday work. These short five-minute videos are designed to make learning convenient and accessible to everyone without the need to attend a study day. This series adds to our growing collection of content which is available on our We Care web page.

I’d also encourage everyone to listen to our , which explores the real life experiences of some NSWs in Scotland.

Whether you’re already a member or thinking of joining us, check out these and the other benefits of being and RCN NSW member on our website.

Happy #NursingSupportWorkersDay
