I was delighted to have the privilege of presenting the Social Care Nurse award at this yearÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥™s Great British Care Awards National Finals. These awards celebrate the amazing work of social care staff across the UK. This yearÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥™s ceremony, hosted by Vernon Kay, was held at the ICC in Birmingham on Friday 14 March.
The winner of the Social Care Nurse Award was Andrea Ramshaw from Hill Care Group. The category judges stated: ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥œAndreaÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥™s passion for care is evident and infectious, ensuring that her dedication to person-centred care is passed on to her team and, ultimately, to the people in her care. She consistently upholds high standards of care, which she achieves effortlessly.ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥
Andrea, who was also the East of England regional winner, stated in her nomination: ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥œI believe that I am someone who genuinely cares about the people I care for. My goal is to ensure that I can provide and support each of them to the best of my ability and listen to theirs and families wishes. It takes nothing to care.ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥
