At the RCN Library and Archive Service, we pride ourselves on the excellent customer service we provide to our members and visitors. The best results in customer service come when you truly understand the people you’re helping. That’s why, in 2023, we’re conducting a Census to discover who exactly is using our service. Knowing this, we’ll be able to continue improving our offer to you - but we need your help.
From 1 February 2023 – 31 January 2024 we may be collecting additional information from you, our users. Library and archive staff might ask for your membership number, or if you’re not a member, what sector you work in or what category you would place yourself in e.g. nursing support worker or personal interest in nursing. We might also ask what area of the library and archive service you use. Please have patience with us as we ask these short questions.
We are collecting this data only for the purpose of determining the number of individuals who use the RCN Library and Archive Service and which parts of the service are accessed by different user types. Data will be kept for the duration of the 12-month long project plus a maximum of 6 months processing time, and will then be destroyed. It will not be shared and it will not be used for marketing purposes.
