The Northumbria Healthcare learning representative was one of seven RCN members honoured with an invitation to the event, which was hosted by the Queen and attended by Prince William.
Beforehand the members travelled to RCN headquarters at Cavendish Square for lunch with RCN President Cecilia Akrisie Anim and a tour of the Grade II listed building.
“I really enjoyed meeting the other members from different regions,” said Sheryle. “My absolute highlight was taking my shoes off and walking barefoot on the palace grass. It’s not every day you get to do that.”
