After our members in Wales rejected the Welsh governmentÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥™s additional offer on 2022/23 NHS Wales pay, we returned to the negotiating table.

A message from RCN Wales Director, Helen Whyley, to our members in Wales:

"I realise that you must be frustrated that the pay negotiations have not yet concluded, and I want to thank you for your patience whilst we get the best offer that we can for you.

"It is your actions and loud voice that has brought the Welsh government back to the negotiating table for the first time ever to add to the Pay Review Body recommendations. Not only have you stood up for the nursing profession and the need for fair pay, but you have also demanded actions to make care safer for your patients.

"The lengthy and intense negotiations have made significant progress to date and work will continue over the Easter period.

"RCN Wales understands from the Welsh government that they will make their final offer in the week commencing 17 April 2023.  Once the RCN Wales Board has seen the details, you will have a vote to accept or reject the offer."
